I was out watching the Breeders Cup horse races this weekend and overheard a couple of IDIOTS talking about how bad the economy is, and how we need to get these Republicans out of office. First off, these two people were out gambling hundreds of dollars, I guess the Horrible economy is not bothering them too much…Secondly, the housing market collapse was caused completely by the people running Frannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Who all happen to be Democrats! Namely, Barney Fwank and Chris Dodd.. Now the Democrats, headed by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, want to get to the bottom of who caused this mess. Having these two MORONS investigating who caused the financial meltdown is like having O.J trying to find out who the real killers were! I can’t believe all these people are going to vote for The Biggest Socialist and Marxist , that has ever run for the Presidency of the United States Of America, just because they want HOPE and CHANGE…Well if some REAL AMERICANS don’t wake up Before this election, we’re going to get CHANGE alright, straight into a Government run socialism…I hope the people who vote for OBAMA are PROUD of their decision….Meanwhile, all you Bitter Clingers out there, clinging to your guns and as my brother said; HUMBLY clinging to your religion, don’t give up…Vote early and vote Republican…What we REALLY can’t afford is to have Obama, Reid and Pelosi running this country…God Bless the AMERICA that I grew up in and God Bless the Bitter Clingers……10/26/2008 ....................................................................
I think McCain and Palin still have a good chance to win this election, if ACORN and the Democrats don't steal it...By the way, Obama used to work for Acorn and he was also the director for Project Vote in Illinois, a group sponsored by Acorn...In Ohio, a federal judge ruled that a PARK BENCH was a valid address to use when registering to vote! What the Hell? I think you should have to show an I.D. and place of residence before you are allowed to vote. Also, maybe you should be a Freaking U.S. CITIZEN.....I think you should also have to pass a TEST before you can vote...Some people say tthis would disenfranchise some voters....Well, if we keep it simple, it would only disenfranchise the Really Stupid and Ignorant voters....This test should have some History and some current events.....You would have to get 5 out of 6 right to be allowed to vote....Multiple choice......1.Who was the First President of the United States..a; Thomas Jefferson....b; Ben Franklin....c; George Washington...d; Bill Clinton....2.Who is Barack Obama's Vice-Presidential running mate....a; John Kerry....b; Joe Biden.....c; Oprah Winfrey....d; Hillary Clinton....3. How many states are in the United States of America...a; 48....b; 57....c; 13....d; 50.....4. What two famous explorers led an expedition to the northwest in the early 1800's.....a; Martin and Lewis......b; Rowan and Martin....c; Lewis and Clark....d; Penn and Teller.....5. Who is John McCain's Vice-Presidential running mate....a; Sarah Palin....b; George Bush.....c; Joe The Plumber.....d; Hallie Burton....6. Who did the U.S fight against in World War II...a;Russia and China....b; Korea and Vietnam.....c; Germany and Japan....d; England and France.......That last one might be a little too hard if you went to a public school, but, 5 out of 6 and you get to vote.......The election this year falls on my birthday and if we elect a SOCIALIST like Obama, it's going to really Piss Me Off!! All you conservatives out there Make Sure to get out and vote....We can't afford for ANYONE to sit this one out....God Bless the Heartland and God Bless the Bitter Clingers!!! 10/30/2008....
VETERANS DAY2008
First off, I want to thank President Bush and all the
dedicated military personnel for keeping us safe at home.. Not to
have any terrorist attacks on American soil since September 11 is
simply amazing. Maybe George Bush was right. Maybe it was better to
fight the terrorists in Iraq instead of over here. Of course, the
mainstream media will NEVER give President Bush or the military any
credit for keeping us safe and for WINNING the war in Iraq. It’s safer
in Iraq right now than it is in most of our American cities, including
Chicago, Barak Obama’s hometown. There have been more murders in
Chicago this year than American soldiers killed in Iraq. Look it up.
All the liberals think Obama is going to immediately bring all the
troops home. They’re going to be very disappointed. Here is a quote
from Osama Bin Laden , from an audiotape released March 20,2008 “ Iraq
is the perfect base to set up the jihad to liberate Palestine.” The
voice on the tape also calls on “Muslims in neighboring countries” to
“ do their best in supporting their mujahedeen brothers in Iraq.
Here’s part of a letter from Osama Bin Laden’s chief lieutenant, Ayman
al-Zawahiri, to Abu Musab Zarqawi, dated July 9th 2005 outlining
al-Qaeda’s strategy in Iraq. The first stage: Expel the Americans from
Iraq. The second stage: Establish an Islamic authority or amirate,
then develop it and support it until it achieves the level of a
caliphate-over as much territory as you can to spread its power in
Iraq. Clearly, Osama Bin Laden and his top lieutenants, think Iraq is a
central battleground in the war on terror. Now here’s a quote from
President-elect Obama “In fact- as should have been apparent to
President Bush and Senator McCain- the central front in the war on
terror is not Iraq, and it never was.” Evidently, the leaders of
al-Qaeda do not agree. Heaven help us. We must stay in Iraq as long as
the Iraqi people need us to and we must continue the war on terror.
Just because we give up and quit, doesn’t mean that they will. Once
again, thanks to all the veterans, who have always fought to keep us
safe. God Bless ALL the troops and their families and God Bless the
Bitter Clingers….Roger 11-11-2008.......Also I have to mention my
father today, Robert Virgil Gover, A Korean War veteran and Atomic
Veteran in Eniwetok. He would have been 78 years old today...... Ever since Barrack Obama threw his hat into the Presidential race.
Every idea reported about him has been very shallow (hope and change
ring a bell) or about the color of his skin.
1 Samuel 16:7
says "But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at
his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not
see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD
looks at the heart.". It says alot for this country that a
black man has been elected President of the United States, but the only
thing that I have heard about him, from the people that voted for him, is
the color of his skin. We need to look a little further than his skin
color just as GOD does. the main stream media really made his outward
appearance look very good to a lot of people. Not everyone takes the
time to really get to know the leaders of our govt.. When we look at
his past associations we realize that his inner person is very radical
and persuasive. I believe that if we look at the heart (Bill Ayers, Rev.
J. Wright, not helping his poor family, no birth cert., being endorsed
by every terrorist group, etc...) of this man we can see just where he
will lead this country. When says that he will use the power of the
fed. govt. to bankrupt an American industry (Coal co.), What makes you
think that we as individuals won't be next!!!....Gary....Fellow Bitter Clinger. 11-10-08
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves....Abe Lincoln.
in economics, the term recession is generally used to describe a situation
in which a country's GDP, or gross domestic product, sustains a
negative growth factor for at least 2 consecutive quarters. I say
generally because recession can be defined differently by different
economists. Just as there is an agency to define the measure of
inflation; the official agency in charge of declaring that the economy
is in a state of recession is the National Bureau of Economic Research
(NBER). NBER's definition of recession is a bit more vague than the
standard one that was described above; they define recession as a
"significant decline in economic activity lasting more than a few
months". For this reason, the official designation of recession may not
come until after we are in a recession for six months or even longer.
Some economists also suggest that a recession occurs when the natural
growth rate in GDP is less than the average of 2%. Typically, a normal
economic recession lasts for approximately 1 year. The NBER also looks at real personal income, industrial production as
well as wholesale and retail sales. All those measures reached a peak
between November 2007 and June 2008, the NBER said.
In addition, the NBER also considers the gross domestic product,
which is the reading most typically associated with a recession in the
general public.
Many people erroneously believe that a recession is defined by two
consecutive quarters of economic activity declining. That has yet to
take place during this recession.
This downturn longer than most......
The NBER did not give any reasons or causes of the recession. But it
is widely accepted that the housing downturn, which started in 2006, is
a primary cause of the broader economic malaise. Confusing huh? This
comes from a website called recession.org. explaining what a recession
is. ..When a country's GDP sustains a negative growth factor for at
least 2 consecutive quarters. Which didn't happen until the last 2
quarters of 2008..The last quarter reported was -0.5. Which, by the
way, is exactly what the G.D.P.was during Clinton's last quarter..They
later say that many people ERRONEOUSLY believe that a recession is
defined by 2 consecutive negative quarters....Well, that's the
DEFINITION..They also say the housing downturn, which started in 2006,
is a primary cause of the recession..Let's see, what happened in Jan.
2006, Oh yeah, the DEMOCRATS took contol of congress. Thank you Chris
Dodd, Barney Frank,Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac..Also the unemployment
rate was at 4.7% in Jan 2006 and now it's at 6.5%.. So let's not blame
everything on George Bush!!! . Roger 12-2-08

Washington's 1789 Thanksgiving Day Proclamation:
WHEREAS
it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty
God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to
implore His protection and favour; and Whereas both Houses of Congress
have, by their joint committee, requested me "to recommend to the
people of the United States a DAY OF PUBLIC THANKSGIVING and PRAYER, to
be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal
favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity
peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and
happiness:"
Happy Thanksgiving and remember the troops who are not
with THEIR families today, but voluntarily protecting your right to be
with yours.God Bless them and their families..Roger 11-27-08
BAGHDAD -- Iraq's
parliament has approved a security pact with the United States that
lets American troops stay in Iraq for three more years. Guess what, all
you Obama voters, we're not pulling out of Iraq until Jan. 1st,2012.
Told you so..Also,Obama has decided to keep Robert Gates as Secretary
of Defense. I guess he's happy with George Bush's foreign policy after
all. Now, Obama is also thinking about keeping Bush's tax cuts in place
as well. I guess he approves of Bush's tax policy also..CHANGE we can
believe in..Roger 11-27-08

Well, the Democrats have stolen the Minnesota senate seat. They have
named Al Franken the winner. Mr. Franken started the recount 215 votes
behind Senator Coleman, but he now claims a 225-vote lead and suddenly
the man who was insisting on "counting every vote" wants to shut the
process down. He's getting help from DEMOCRATIC Secretary of State Mark
Ritchie and his four fellow Canvassing Board members, who have
delivered inconsistent rulings and are ignoring serious problems with
the ballots. They have counted duplicate ballots and 'found ' ballots,
all going to Franken. The Democrats are prepared to seat Mr. Franken
when the 111th Congress begins this week if the Canvassing Board
certifies him as the winner. This contradicts Minnesota law, which says
the state cannot award a certificate of election if one party contests
the results."While there are still possible legal issues that will run
their course, there is no longer any doubt who will be the next senator
from Minnesota," Sen. Chuck Schumer said. "With the Senate set to begin
meeting on Tuesday to address the important issues facing the nation,
it is crucial that Minnesota's seat not remain empty, and I hope this
process will resolve itself as soon as possible." The GOP must stand up
and not let this happen. No one likes losing an election, but the
American people cannot continue to let someone steal an election right
out in the open. The elections in Iraq are more honest than in the U.S.
Think about that for awhile..In a related matter, Harry Reid refuses to
seat Roland Burris, the newly appointed Senator from Illinois, even
though he was legally appointed by Governor Rod Blagojevich. The
governor has sole authority to name a replacement for Obama's Senate
seat.under the Constitution.Evidently Harry Reid doesn't think so, Reid
said, "We determine who sits in the Senate. And the House (of
Representatives) determines who sits in the House. So there's clearly
legal authority for us to do whatever we want to do. This goes back for
generations."No the legal authority in this case is with Governor
Blagojevich to choose a Senator and the Senate to seat him...I also
heard that Caroline Kennedy was the front-runner for the vacated New
York senate seat..I'm sure the State-run,left-wing,mainstream media
will attack her "qualifications" the same way they did Sarah
Palin..Yeah Right! Here are her "accomplishments"according to
about.com.Very much in the public eye during her father's presidency
and at her father's funeral in 1963, Caroline Kennedy graduated from
Radcliffe with a B.A. in 1980, trained at Sotheby's in art, and
graduated from Columbia Law School with a J.D. in 1988. She married
Edwin Schlossberg in 1986. They have three children.Caroline Kennedy
Schlossberg's 1991 book, In Our Defense: The Bill of Rights in Action,
and her 1996 book, The Right to Privacy, were written with Ellen
Alderman. She published a collection of some of the favorite poems of
her mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, in 2001. In 2002, she published
a collection of essays which echoed her father's 1957 Profiles in
Courage, and in 2003 a collection of patriotic poems, speeches, and
songs.
In 2008, she served as a member of the advisory committee suggesting
vice presidential nominees for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. She
also attended Elvis Presley's funeral and wrote an article about it for
Rolling Stone. Impressive huh? It must be really hard to put together a
book of poems, deciding which one goes on each page..That could take 3
or 4 hours.I guess if you're a Kennedy you have a lot of free time...Roger..Bitterly Clinging 1-5-09
Well, tomorrow is the day of the IMMACULATE INAUGURATION, as Rush calls
it, when the chosen one will take office to save our country...Heaven
help us all. I saw a poll on the Drudge Report that showed "A wave of
Optimism sweeping the nation". I don't know who these people are
listening to, because Obama keeps saying things are going to get worse
before they get better..Of course, I realize that most Obama voters
never listen to what he actually says..Unemployment is at 7.2%(the
highest of the Bush Presidency), Gas is around $1.75 a gallon and their
is no inflation...Interest rates are still at near record lows as
well..For most of Bush's term unemployment was between 4.5% and 5.00%.
The economy started going downhill about Jan.2006, coincidently just
when the Democrats took control of Congress.. Well, as of tomorrow they
won't have George Bush to blame anymore. Of course, they'll still try
to blame him for awhile..Now the State-Run, left-wing, Obama-loving
media will have to run stories about how the economy is showing signs
of recovery...It's going to be a long 4 years..Remember when the Media
made fun of Bush for spending 40 million dollars on his inauguration
and saying he should give that money to the troops, well that Same
Media thinks it's just Great that Obama is spending 150
million..Amazing,Huh? Once again,we want to say THANKS to President
Bush and all the troops for keeping us safe for the last 8 years...I
hope Obama leaves enough of Bush's people AND policies in place for
that to continue,,,, Roger...Bitterly Clinging....1-19-09........
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic
satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as
president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that "Americans are
not your enemy."
The interview underscored Obama's commitment to repair relations with
the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration.
The president expressed an intention to engage the Middle East
immediately and his new envoy to the region, former Sen. George J.
Mitchell, was expected to arrived in Egypt on Tuesday for a visit that
will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi
Arabia.
"My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are
not your enemy," Obama told the Saudi-owned, Dubai-based Al-Arabiya
news channel..........
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama
began overhauling U.S. treatment of terror suspects Thursday, signing
orders to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center, shut down secret
overseas CIA prisons, review military war crimes trials and ban the
harshest interrogation methods.
With his action, Obama started
changing how the United States prosecutes and questions al-Qaida,
Taliban or other foreign fighters who pose a threat to Americans — and
overhauling America's image abroad, battered by accusations of the use
of torture and the indefinite detention of suspects at the Guantanamo
prison in Cuba.
"The message that we are sending the world is
that the United States intends to prosecute the ongoing struggle
against violence and terrorism and we are going to do so vigilantly and
we are going to do so effectively and we are going to do so in a manner
that is consistent with our values and our ideals," the president said.
The
centerpiece order would close the much-maligned Guantanamo facility
within a year, a complicated process with many unanswered questions
that was nonetheless a key campaign promise of Obama's. The
administration already has suspended trials for terrorist suspects at
Guantanamo for 120 days pending a review of the military tribunals.
In the other actions, Obama:
_Created
a task force to recommend policies on handling terror suspects who are
detained in the future. Specifically, the group would look at where
those detainees should be housed since Guantanamo is closing.
_Required
all U.S. personnel to follow the U.S. Army Field Manual while
interrogating detainees. The manual explicitly prohibits threats,
coercion, physical abuse and waterboarding, a technique that creates
the sensation of drowning and has been termed a form of torture by
critics. However, a Capitol Hill aide says that the administration also
is planning a study of more aggressive interrogation methods that could
be added to the Army manual — which would create a significant loophole
to Obama's action Thursday.
"We believe that the Army Field
Manual reflects the best judgment of our military, that we can abide by
a rule that says we don't torture, but that we can still effectively
obtain the intelligence that we need," Obama said. He said his action
reflects an understanding that "we are willing to observe core
standards of conduct, not just when it's easy, but also when it's hard."
A
task force will study whether other interrogation guidelines — beyond
what's spelled out in the Army manual — are necessary for intelligence
professionals in dealing with terror suspects.
But an Obama
administration official said that provision should not be considered a
loophole that will allow controversial "enhanced interrogation
techniques" to be re-introduced. The official spoke on condition of
anonymity to speak candidly about the administration's thinking.
The
order also orders the CIA to close all its existing detention
facilities abroad for terror suspects — and prohibits those prisons
from being used in the future. The agency has used those secret "black
site" prisons around the world to question terror suspects..........How
will any of these decisions make us any SAFER.....Roger 1-27-09
OBAMA:
"I've appointed hundreds of people, all of whom are outstanding
Americans who are doing a great job. There are a couple who had
problems before they came into my administration, in terms of their
taxes. ... I made a mistake ... I don't want to send the signal that
there are two sets of rules."He added: "Everybody will acknowledge that
we have set up the highest standard ever for lobbyists not working in
the administration." ....Fact is these people cheated on their
taxes...Tom Daschle, as Secretary of Health and Human Services, Nancy
Killefer, his chief compliant officer, and Timothy Geithner as
Secretary of Treasury and head of the I.R.S...Of course, the first two
dropped out so they wouldn't send a signal that there are two sets of
rules." He didn't say there wouldn't BE two sets of rules.....OBAMA:
"We also inherited the most profound economic emergency since the Great
Depression." Again not exactly true, in January the unemployment rate
jumped to 7.6 from 7.2 percent the month before. The most recent high
was 7.8 percent in June 1992.And the jobless rate was 10.8 percent in
November and December 1982. Unemployment in the Great Depression was
anywhere from 25 percent to close to 30 percent for ten years....It
also averaged 7.0 % in the Carter Years....Carter also had 16%
inflation and 21% interest rates...Now That was the worst economy since
the Great Depression....OBAMA: "Not a single pet project," "Not a
single earmark." "I know that there are a lot of folks out there who've
been saying, 'Oh, this is pork, and this is money that's going to be
wasted,' and et cetera, et cetera. Understand, this bill does not have
a single earmark in it, which is unprecedented for a bill of this size.
... There aren't individual pork projects that members of Congress are
putting into this bill."....This whole Stimulus bill is loaded with
PORK....Does he think we're all idiots? Obama also tried to put the
2010 Census in the hands of the White House instead of the Commerce
Department where it's always been, a clear violation of the
Constitution.....Remember the Constitution, we used to go by it...but
that seems long ago....We better wake up, before it's too
late....Roger...Still bitterly clinging...2-10-09
Mr. Bush headed for Andrews Air Force Base, where he arrived a short
time ago. As the Associated Press reports, his helicopter passed over
the masses of supporters of Mr. Obama who came to Washington to
celebrate the new president's inauguration.
Some in that crowd booed when Mr. Bush appeared on the big screens
positioned on The Mall during the inauguration ceremony, the AP notes.
There was cheering when a broadcaster announced that Mr. Bush is no
longer president, and some chanted "Na-na-na-nah, hey, hey, hey,
goodbye." "We gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of
purpose over conflict and discord," said President Obama. Is this the
kind of unity Obama is talking about..The people in the crowd that did
this chant showed a total lack of class. They never showed UNITY to
President Bush, for our country, or for our service men and women, even
in a time of war. These people are an embarassment to America. I will
never be Unified with them.. Some of the protesters in Washington
carried signs that said" Arrest Bush". We could just ignore these
people if they were the only NUTJOBS talking this way , but
unfortunately they have the support of some elected officials.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is receptive to the idea of prosecuting some Bush administration officials, while letting others
who are accused of misdeeds leave office without prosecution, she told Chris Wallace in an interview on "FOX News Sunday."
"I
think you look at each item and see what is a violation of the law and
do we even have a right to ignore it," the California Democrat said.
"And other things that are maybe time that is spent better looking to
the future rather than to the past."
Rep.
John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, announced
Friday he wants to set up a commission to look into whether the Bush
administration broke the law by taking the nation to war against Iraq
and instituting aggressive anti-terror initiatives. The Michigan
Democrat called for an "independent criminal probe into whether any
laws were broken in connection with these activities."
President-elect Barack Obama has not closed off the possibility of prosecutions, but hinted he does not
favor them.
"I don't believe that anybody is above the law," he told ABC News a week ago. "On the other hand, I also
have a belief that we need to look forward as opposed to looking backwards."
Pelosi, during the interview in her ceremonial
office, said there is merit in both arguments.
"I don't think that Mr. Obama and Mr. Conyers are that far apart," she
said. "There are different subjects and you treat them differently."
She
hinted that the law might compel Democrats to press forth on some
prosecutions, even if they are politically unpopular, adding: "That's
not up to us to say that doesn't matter anymore." If these idiots try
to bring President Bush up on war crimes for protecting our country,
then maybe it's time some conservatives need to stage a protest in
Washington. I know it would be hard for us to do, because we all have
JOBS!!! The Obama administration is off to a GREAT start of bringing
us all together...I think this bears repeating. .. For now, we have a
new president-elect. In the spirit of reaching
across the aisle, we owe it to the Democrats to show their president
the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our
recent Republican president.
Starting tomorrow,if not sooner. Ann Coulter 11-5-08.. RIGHT ON!!!!!
